Our story

Pip Harpur

Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Lead and Partner

I hold a PG Certificate in Paediatrics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Palliative Care and a Master of Arts, and I'm currently a PhD candidate. I've spent over a decade working in General Practice and Urgent Care, and I've seen how much impact compassion, time and understanding can have when paired with clinical skill.

As a nurse practitioner, I believe we bring the best of nursing and medicine together. We work autonomously as well as within multidisciplinary teams, in the community and in hospitals. We manage both acute and chronic medical conditions and work in partnership with patients as their main health provider.

Ocean Breeze was born out of the desire to do healthcare differently, blending modern medicine with a personal touch. Whether we talk on the phone or see you in clinic, you'll be met with respect, experience and real care. I look forward to working in partnership with individuals and families right here on the Coast.

I'm here to take care of those little niggles in life, vaccinate against the nasties and deliver screening tests for those scary things in life. Really listening and addressing health concerns in a holistic way is my goal. When life gets tough you'll find me singing along, horse riding with my daughter or playing board games with the boys.

I bring over 40 years of experience in primary healthcare nursing, in settings from small family practices to large medical centres. My particular passion and area of expertise is diabetes care. Every patient is unique, and my approach centres on personalised, compassionate support: working together on practical care plans that help patients confidently manage their diabetes and enjoy a better quality of life.

I am also a highly experienced vaccinator, having cared for and vaccinated thousands of babies, children and adults, and I have a special interest in cervical screening and HPV screening.

Above all, I believe in taking the time to listen. I pride myself on professional, respectful and compassionate care, recognising that everyone's health journey is different. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey towards better health and wellbeing.
